Dog Walking is the Most Important Aspect of Dog Training

What is the most important aspect of dog training?

This may sound simplistic but it is the walk. A bond is formed when the dog and owner go out together. It is the highlight of the day for every dog. The one on one time with their owner is what bonds them to you. Many new members use us because they do not believe they can walk their dog. The dog pulls them all over and cannot be controlled. We have the best methods for getting your dog to walk beside you at all times.

Secret... If you do not have a lot of time to dedicate to dog walking, use a Trixie Rucksack For Dogs Medium 30102 . Fill it with water bottles to create some weight. This will accomplish two things. First, it will burn much more of the built up energy your dog has. If you only have time for a 20 minute walk, the back pack will burn the same amount of energy that a 40 minute walk would without one. Second, it will give your dog a job. When the back pack is on, your dog will no longer have the intense desire to pull. He or she will be doing their job, which is carrying the contents of the pack.

Your dog may resist the back pack at first. Once you get one, lay it on the ground and hide some treats in the pockets. Let your dog find the treats. Soon he will associate the back pack with food. After only a day or two, he will realize that the back pack means that he gets to go out on a walk with his owner. He will eagerly allow the back pack to be put on and off you go!
